🍒 CHERRY BARS 🍒

These cherry bars are the perfect balance of soft, buttery crust, sweet cherry filling, and a luscious almond glaze! Perfect for any gathering or a treat just for you!

Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
1 tsp salt
4 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp almond extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 cans (21 oz each) cherry pie filling
For the Glaze:
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
2-3 tbsp whole milk
Let’s Make It:
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, cream butter, sugar, and salt until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by extracts.
Gradually add flour, then spread 3 cups of dough into a greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
Spread pie filling over the dough, and drop the remaining dough by teaspoonfuls over the filling.
Bake 35-40 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack.
For the glaze, mix confectioners’ sugar, extracts, and enough milk for drizzling consistency, then drizzle over top.
