Authentic German Bratwurst

Ingredients:
– 2 pounds ground pork
– 1/2 cup ice water
– 1 tablespoon salt
– 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
– 1 tablespoon ground coriander
– 1 tablespoon ground caraway seeds
– 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
– 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
– Hog casings (optional)

Directions:
1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground pork, ice water, salt, black pepper, coriander, caraway seeds, nutmeg, and cloves. Stir until everything is well combined.
2. If you are using hog casings, soak them in cold water for at least 30 minutes to soften.
3. Once the casings are ready, stuff them with the pork mixture using a sausage stuffer or a piping bag fitted with a large tip.
4. Twist the casings at regular intervals to create individual bratwursts.
5. Grill or pan-fry the bratwursts over medium heat until they are cooked through and nicely browned.
6. Serve your bratwursts with your favorite sides, like sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, or German potato salad. Enjoy!
