Banana Bread

This Banana Bread is moist, tender, and full of rich banana flavor. It’s an easy, classic recipe that’s perfect for using up overripe bananas, making a delicious treat for breakfast or an anytime snack!

Recipe

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 ripe bananas, mashed
¼ cup milk (or buttermilk, for extra tang)
Optional Add-Ins:

½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
½ cup chocolate chips
Directions:

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.

Add Bananas and Milk: Stir in the mashed bananas and milk until combined.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. If desired, fold in the chopped nuts or chocolate chips.

Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the top begins to brown too quickly, cover loosely with foil.

Cool and Serve: Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
