Recipe

Ingredients:

2 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
1 ¼ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
½ cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
For the Cinnamon-Sugar Topping:

2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
Directions:

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a large mixing bowl, mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until combined. Add the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and mix until smooth.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this will make the bars denser.

Spread the Dough: Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish.

Add the Cinnamon-Sugar Topping: In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon for the topping. Sprinkle evenly over the top of the dough.

Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The bars should be golden and slightly soft in the center.

Cool and Serve: Allow the bars to cool in the pan before slicing. Cut into squares and serve.
